For as long as I can remember I have wanted to visit all fifty states at some point in my life. While I have been to quite a few states, there are many states in the western half of the US that I have never been to. Jeremy actually has quite a few states that I don't have yet, so I have secretly plotted a way to keep him from beating me to the finish...shhhhh. I made him commit to saving Alaska for last. Meanwhile, I am working on catching up on the 48 contiguous states (since we've already been to Hawaii) and we will end up with a photo finish in Alaska.
So anyway...when we realized that this may be the only summer in our lives (at least until we retire) that we do not have serious commitments and we are still without children, we decided we better take advantage of it! That is when I began planning our hippy summer in a van.
After quite a bit of research and planning, and months of looking forward to this adventure, the beginning of our trip is in sight! We began packing a few items into the van today. For as huge as that van looks, there is very little storage. I guess we are going to have to get creative! I can't wait to get started!
